Bike: Honda CBR 250R
Previous Tires: Michelin Pilot Street Radial 110/70 R 17, 140/70 R17
Differences after 500Kms to my previous tires:
1. 150/60 rear makes a difference to your riding style. It also has less cushioning.
2. The rubber compound feels harder than my previous. Slides more on hard rear braking at corner entry. Front feels more vague (and you rather use the rear to steer). Very good grip at the rear while leant over, on throttle, at corner exit on dry tarmac.
3. Radials make a difference when you hit a sharp bump. It transmits less shock to the machine and rider. This isn’t one, and I felt the front tire squish when riding through sharp bumps.
4. Side to side (chicane) change at high speed, if using the rear brake to turn, leaves a lot to be desired during the time the bike is perpendicular to the ground.
5. On hilly roads with endless corners and undulating tarmac, this tire feels floaty above 65-70kmph during mid corner, side-to-side direction change.
6. Will last much longer than my previous tire (didn’t last very long. Rear: 10,000kms, front: was worn on one side-left- more than the other, so replaced it at the same time)
7. Value for Money! Performance, at a much cheaper price! Commuters and spirited riders will enjoy it! At a much lesser price!
8. Highly recommended.
